Assistant Manager

Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Edmonton Customer Service Centre. The self-driven professional has experience in warehouse operations, managing people, is exceptionally organized, detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. It is a full-time permanent position based out of Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer service is our top priority during all transactions and dealings
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
  • Staff management and daily job requirements
  • Point of contact for local client base when required
  • Manage all aspects of warehouse logistics within the inventory system (order filling, picking, receiving, shipping, and storage) as required from branch General Manager
  • Ensure the highest quality of products are available
  • Track KPI’s for warehouse and manufacturing platforms as developed by management
  • Work closely with other branches across Western Canada on inventory and product requirements
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and following safe work procedures

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-7 years’ direct warehouse experience and managing staff
  • Self-motivated, high attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Experience with warehouse management, including Five S’s principle
  • Proven exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of operational logistics, warehouse mapping, procedures, and transportation
  • Positive hard worker, Team Player
